Phedippidations World Wide Half Marathon
This weekend of 13-14th of October is a holiday for our brother Muslims here in KL to celebrate “Hari Raya Aidil Fitri” end of Ramadan, aside from this day there is also a world wide running event participated by runner’s all around the globe. The Phedippidations World Wide Half Marathon it's a non commercialized running organized by runners to promote camaraderie to the running community across the globe. I see this occasion similar to the series of our own training every Thursday and we called it Virtual running.
The event has 2 categories one is so-called “Kick the Couch – 5K” for first timers in running and a Half-Marathon. I’ll be running the later part. This run will also be my 1st long road run after resting from road running for quite some time (3 weeks), for these past weeks I’m just hitting the gym to strengthen my legs & knees. I hope they are ready this weekend and finally to be able to continue my training runs for the coming SG Marathon this December.
So I’m extending this invite to every runners out there especially my fellow Happy feet runners in Manila.
